Ojców National Park, despite being the smallest national park in Poland, full of picturesque valleys, gorges, and limestone rocks, offers many attractions of diverse character – from natural to historical and cultural. Here are the most interesting places worth seeing:
- Ojców Castle – ruins of a medieval castle built in the times of Casimir the Great. Located on a hill with a beautiful view over the Prądnik Valley. Interesting defensive history and legend related to its construction.
- Prądnik Valley – the main valley of the park through which the Prądnik river flows. Ideal for walks and bike trips (bike trails). There are numerous rock formations here, such as the "Kraków Gate" – a natural rock gate formed by two high limestone pillars. One of the most recognizable places in the park. Nearby is the "Love Spring," which, according to legend, brings happiness to lovers, and the "Deotyma Needle."
- Dark Cave – one of the largest caves in Poland. The cave contains remains of settlement from the Paleolithic era. An excellent place for archaeology and nature lovers. It is considered one of the most valuable archaeological sites in Poland.
- Łokietek's Cave – the most famous cave in the park, associated with the legend of the hiding Władysław Łokietek. It has several chambers and corridors that can be explored with a guide. Lighting and rock formations create a unique atmosphere.
- "On the Water" Chapel – a wooden chapel built on stilts over the Prądnik river. It was built in 1901 as a protest against the ban on building churches on royal land. A unique monument of sacral architecture in Poland.
- Boroniówka Miller's Settlement – the most beautiful of the preserved mills.
- Sąspów Valley – quieter and less frequented than the Prądnik Valley. Ideal for those seeking peace and contact with nature.
- Ojców National Park Museum – located in Ojców, offering exhibitions on the geology, fauna, flora, and history of the park. A good starting point for visiting to better understand the uniqueness of the region.
