This is one of the most colorful days in Krakow. At 11:15 AM, a colorful procession with Easter palms will set off from the Barbakan, passing around the Square to St. Wojciech's Church. This is an opportunity to see the craftsmanship of creators from Lipnica Murowana, who can conjure constructions of impressive size.

Holy Saturday (April 4)

At 12:00 PM on the Main Square, there will be a solemn blessing of food. This is a high-profile event attended by city authorities and church hierarchs. For tourists, it is a unique chance to see traditional "święconka" baskets in the heart of the historic metropolis.

Remember that on Holy Saturday most museums (including the Cloth Hall and Wawel) are closed to visitors.

Easter Monday (April 6)

On Easter Monday at 2:00 PM, Siuda Baba will appear in the Square. This archaic figure, dressed in soot-covered rags, roams accompanied by a Gypsy, symbolically smearing passersby with soot. According to beliefs, this brings good fortune and vital strength for the whole year.
